7 Steps to Clean Your Refrigerator
We store different kinds of foods in our refrigerator, and sometimes we spill something or drop something on it, and it may cause different kinds of bacteria to breed and infect you. So today I’ll tell you how to clean your Refrigerator in 7 Steps!
- Step 1
First of all, defrost the freezer and then turn off or plug out the wire of the Refrigerator to avoid shorts circuits and fire. And collect the things below:-
- Non-abrasive sponge
- Bucket
- Baking soda or white vinegar
- Large cooler
- Trash bags
- Handheld vacuum or shop vacuum Toothbrush
- Step 2
Take everything out of the refrigerator, don’t leave even a single thing in it. Food particles while cleaning may give difficulties. And if you think your food will spoil, then keep a large cooler full of ice ready and put the food which will spoil quickly outside, in the cooler.
- Step 3
Take out the shelves from the refrigerator. Now take warm soapy water in a bucket and a non-abrasive sponge. Start cleaning the shelves of the refrigerator, now start cleaning inside of the refrigerator, start from the freezer and then go down to the vegetables and fruits tray.
Make sure to use a non-abrasive sponge to avoid scratches on shelves. If there are stubborn stains on the surface, then mix some white vinegar or baking soda in the water and then clean it.
- Step 4
Fill a bucket full of soapy water and wipe up any gunk on the walls or crammed into corners. You’d be surprised at how many stains go unnoticed.
- Step 5
Now is the time to do the detail work, look out for corners and check again for unnoticed areas and use a vacuum cleaner to clean those areas. These areas usually contain a lot of dust.
Make sure to clean and sanitise your refrigerator from the outside. Take a look at the inside and outside edges of the refrigerator, they also collect a lot of dust on them.
Don’t use water for cleaning the exterior of stainless steel refrigerators, water leaves behind streaks, instead of water use some white vinegar.
- Step 6
We all know that we keep a lot of food unused for a long time in our refrigerators. Now it’s time to check the expiry dates of every food in your refrigerator and keep the expired food out of your refrigerator and keep all of it in a separate trash bag.
- Step 7
Now let the refrigerator dry, or dry it yourself with an air blower. After your refrigerator is all dry, then first put the shelves back in their places and put back all the food items again. And try out new and different styles to put in your food.
